DAVID YURMAN

SCADpro 10-Week Course

SCAD partnered with the luxury jewelry company David Yurman to develop their Holiday 2023 60-second film campaign. Our team consisted of students in advertising, marketing, graphic design, writing, film, production, VFX, immersive reality, animation, and more. 

I was the Concept Art Lead managing our team in art direction for look development and storyboarding.
My contributions included storyboarding, illustration, concept art, project management, and presentation delivery during client checkpoints. 
I provided art direction to a remote team of artists to further explore elements from our concept.

Together, we provided preproduction for the client over ten weeks allowing for the final production to take place at SCAD's XR stage.

FINAL WORK

Below are the final images that our team produced concluding the 10-week course collaboration. After this, David Yurman continued the collaboration using our work to assist in the final art direction, film on SCAD's XR stage, and edit in post-production.

STORYBOARD

This is the last storyboard we delivered to the client. Here, we had pushed the concept into a new direction exploring an alternative way that the story could be told.

MIDPOINT CONCEPT

Below is the concept we delivered during the 5th week in the collaboration at the David Yurman offices in New York. The last two photos are showing our test shoot on SCAD's XR stage. 

ADDITIONAL IDEAS

Below are a few concept paintings and storyboards we considered throughout the project. Early on, I created Photoshop brushes for the jewelry chains to assist in storyboarding quickly.
